Pastor Steve, Natalie and Rachel Tungate

   Steve grew up in Clarkston, Michigan. Following his love for nature, Steve set out toward a career in Biology; receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from the Lyman Briggs School at Michigan State. While studying creation, his eyes were quickly drawn to the Creator. With a new realization that "if God can bring everything together on such a grand scale, He can certainly do something with this insignificant life," Steve asked God to take charge of his life. While at Michigan State, Steve also met his wife Rachel, a native of Southgate, Michigan. Upon graduating, Steve and Rachel were married at Lansing Central Free Methodist Church where they worked on staff.
   During their first years of marriage, Steve and Rachel lived in Wilmore, Kentucky  attending Asbury Theological Seminary; Steve working on a Master of Divinity degree and Rachel working on a Master of Arts degree in counseling.
   After graduating from seminary, the two returned to Michigan ministering in Free Methodist churches in Clio, Sandusky, then Bad Axe. Steve and Rachel enjoy spending time with their daughter, Natalie. The Tungates moved to Memphis in January of 2006 and have "greatly enjoyed the warmth and caring of the people here". Steve is currently working on a Doctor of Ministry degree in Christian Spirituality from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California.
